A CHANGE OF POLICY FROM 5 SEPTEMBER 2021
I will no longer be using a sensuality rating because relevant details will be contained in the body of the review.
**APPLIES TO ALL REVIEWS POSTED FROM 21 MARCH 2013**
I know some readers like plenty of steam in their romances whereas others prefer something less explicit. My ratings indicate the level of sensuality in each book reviewed.
Sizzling:
Extremely explicit and frequent sex scenes. Might contain BDSM, or other non-vanilla sexual content. Most likely an erotic romance.
Hot:
Explicit sex scenes and language.
Warm:
Contains sex scenes but they aren’t overly explicit.
Subtle:
Sex is alluded to or occurs off page.
Kisses:
No direct references to sex and certainly no sex scenes, but the book still contains a romance.
I like your sensuality ratings. I’m struggling with how to express this to my readers. Some may not like the ‘sizzling’ as you call it, but prefer something less. I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas Carol and may this coming year be better than the last for you!
I know a lot of reviewers don’t have sensuality ratings but I know some readers like clean romances, whilst others enjoy more explicit love scenes. That’s why I decided to have a sensuality rating for each review. It is really only a guide but at least readers can make a more informed decision as to whether they would want to read it.
We had a quiet Christmas, just reading and eating too much! Best wishes for a successful New Year, Eileen!
