A Historical Tidbit

Long before Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm, there was a writer by the name of Charles Perrault. He was the author of The Tales of Mother Goose, and the father of fairy tales who started the beloved genre. Perrault lived in seventeenth-century France during the reign of the Sun King, Louis XIV. Louis was a lusty king. And his glittering court was as salacious as it was elegant.

During this most wicked time period, Perrault created his fairy tales from folklore he’d heard many times, stories that have delighted people for centuries: Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, Puss in Boots, and Bluebeard—to name a few.

A MIDNIGHT DANCE is based on his most famous fairy tale of all . . . Cinderella. We don’t know what the original tale was like. Or what specific changes Perrault made to it. But perhaps, just perhaps the original story went something like this . . .

A Midnight Dance (final)

(Fiery Tales series)

Available Oct. 26, 2015

ISBN: 9780988035058

Inspired by the tale of Cinderella, a steamy historical romance that offers a glass slipper, a dangerous deception, and an impoverished beauty determined to find her handsome prince…and make him pay.

Born into wealth, Sabine Laurent and her twin sister lived a life of luxury, their father’s prestigious theater frequented by royalty and aristocracy alike. And Sabine dreamed of her own prince charming–the devastatingly handsome Jules de Moutier.

That was before the loss of her sister and her family’s fall from grace–a disaster Sabine blames on the Moutier family. Now, with her father’s death, she’s inherited his sizable debt and the responsibility of caring for his spoiled long-time mistress and her two wastrel daughters. But with the help of Sabine’s eccentric friends–the balance of her father’s acting troupe–she plans to get very close to her old infatuation, seduce the rake–and make away with a fortune.

Resisting Jules’s skillful mouth and tantalizing touch is not as easy as Sabine supposed. And soon she must decide whether her desire for vengeance is greater than her desire for her one and only prince…

A Message from Delilah…

DEAR READER:

Having recently acquired the rights back to these playful, naughty books, I decided to do far more than slap a new cover on them. Even if you’ve read Mistress of Pleasure and Lord of Pleasure, you’ll find since their original publications back in 2008 and 2009, these books have undergone a metamorphosis. These revamped second editions have countless new scenes, both romantic and hilarious in nature, which were added throughout each book in an effort to make you feel like you’re reading them for the first time. I dare you to revisit the books that started it all.

R&R - Mistress of Pleasure

(School of Gallantry, #1)

Genre: Historical Romance (Victorian)

Cover Blurb:

REAL PLEASURE CAN’T BE TAKEN…

Granddaughter of a renowned courtesan, Maybelle Maitenon has no interest in her grandmother’s school in London where gentlemen receive instruction–in the art of seduction. Her only desire in life is to remain independent and free from men and their overbearing expectations. But when Maybelle lays eyes on the Duke of Rutherford, , at a soirée, and hears of his scandalous reputation, she decides he’s the perfect person for her to have a tryst with no strings attached…

IT MUST BE GIVEN…

Unbridled passion has again muddied Edmund Worthington’s family name. After his very public dalliance with the strikingly beautiful and sensual Maybelle, his mother insists he marry her. But much to the duke’s surprise, Maybelle scoffs at his proposal. Never has he encountered such a brazen—and maddeningly irresistable—woman. But when Maybelle’s grandmother falls ill, forcing Maybelle to take over the operation of the school, Edmund devises a plan to make her his. He enrolls in the school, where no one other than Maybelle must give him expert lessons in carnal pleasure…

R&R - Lord of Pleasure
(School of Gallantry, #2)

Genre: Historical Romance (Victorian)

Cover Blurb:

Alexander William Baxendale, the earl of Hawksford, used to a very big man. Quite literally. His girth made him only popular with his friends. Despite his weight, he considered his life to be charmed until he meets Miss Charlotte Jane Sutton. He quickly realizes winning the girl of his dreams isn’t the same as eating chocolate. When she rejects him and breaks his heart, he decides the best revenge is becoming the man of every woman’s dreams. Unfortunately, he creates a name for himself even he isn’t ready to embrace. Soon, far more than just Charlotte is knocking on his door. Will he survive his own revenge? He isn’t so sure.

WARNING: These books contain strong language and sexual content that may cause respectable people to swoon.

Miss Bates Reads Romance

“Miss Bates…had never boasted either beauty or cleverness. Her youth had passed without distinction, and her middle of life was devoted to the care of a failing mother, and the endeavour to make a small income go as far as possible. And yet she was a happy woman..." Emma, Jane Austen
