I’m delighted to welcome Historical and Time Travel author SHERRY EWING to Rakes and Rascals today for an exclusive interview.
Thank you so much for having me today. I appreciate the opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself!

R&R:
Could you tell us where you were born and what it was like growing up there?
Sherry:
I was actually born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada but was raised in Michigan. We moved around a lot but I suppose I was your typical kid growing up in the suburbs of Detroit. I actually went back a couple of years ago and really missed the place… that is until I remembered that winter was coming.
A picture of myself (left), my brother Tim and our cousin Kerry, who is obviously the bride.
R&R:
How would you describe yourself – temperamental or easy-going?
Sherry:
I’m pretty easy going. I’ve had a lot of drama in my life so I try to keep that to a minimum these days.
R&R:
When it comes to food do you like sweet or savoury or both?
Sherry:
Pretty much both. I’m not a picky eater… unless my food it touching!
R&R:
What is your most treasured possession?
Sherry:
My daughter got me a tiny replica of Bamburgh Castle a couple of years ago for Christmas. How she managed to have it shipped here must have been a miracle or involved a lot of pleading on her part.

R&R:
If you could afford a second home anywhere in the world where would you choose and why?
Sherry:
I’d love to have a place somewhere in England. Although I’ve never been there, I always said I was born on the wrong continent and would love to live at a place where there is so much history around me.
R&R:
Finally, what has been your most embarrassing moment?
Sherry:
Lol! I think I’ll have to keep that one to myself.

Loved your answers, Sherry. And that replica of Bamburgh Castle is awesome!
Thank you for dropping by, Judith. I’m not sure how my daughter managed to get them to ship it overseas to her but I certainly treasure the keepsake!
